AGILE DEVELOPMENT IN AUTOMOTIVE MARKETS

An overview of Scrum, Kanban and agile methods including application

Agility and teamwork in keeping with Automotive SPICE®
When processes are introduced, the outcome frequently involves rigid rulebooks and nothing but bureaucracy – efficiency often gets swept under the rug. This is not the idea behind process maturity. In this training course, we demonstrate how agile methods and practices can help make development processes in the automotive industry more efficient – and still adhere to industry standards and guidelines.

Introduction to agile training

  • Overview, aims, agenda
  • Introduction of course participants and discussion of expectations
  • Introduction to the topics of agility, motivation, values and principles, underlying concepts and philosophy, an overview of agile methods and practices

  • Business goals that can be supported by Kanban (throughput, time to market, ...)
  • Kanban as a complement to Scrum
  • Kanban game – a playful approach

Agile project management

From OEM PDP to release planning and task planning

  • Where and how is rough planning done? Where and how are resources estimated?
  • Where and how are comparisons made with resources? Where and how is detailed planning or tracking carried out? Overlaps with the OEM PDP?
  • Where and how and on what basis is risk management carried out?
  • Workshop/discussion on project management, if necessary in separate teams or teams in different locations

Agile organization

What does it mean to be or become agile? What conditions have to be met to introduce agile practices? What problems are encountered or risks?
