Software is making an important contribution to the value created by modern embedded systems. Software in embedded systems is thereby becoming ever more comprehensive and complex.
The right architecture is crucial for the successful development of embedded systems. The specific requirements for embedded systems with regard to safety & security, availability, time response, performance, and increasingly also interlacing are decisive for developing the right architecture.
Industry has recognized the importance of architecture and responded with ISO/IEC 15504 (SPICE), AUTOMOTIVE SPICE® and AUTOSAR.
Participants gain insight into
architecture-based software development processes
the nature of software and system architecture, samples and principles
quality requirements as the important drivers of architectures
a procedure model for creating architectures
the use, and the benefits & limitations of tools when working on architecture
the evaluation of architectures
AUTOSAR as an example for the industry standard in automotive
The course consists of lectures, exercises and discussions, and will offer plenty of opportunity for questions, discussions, and the exchange of experiences.
- to understand the importance of structured processes
- to get to know the potential of process improvements
- to understand the architecture of the CMMI® model, i.e. maturity/capability levels, process areas, goals, generic and specific practices, etc
- to acquire sufficient understanding of the CMMI® model to be an active member of a CMMI® appraisal team
- to apply/implement the principles of the CMMI® model in the software and system development in organizations
The course is designed for experienced developers as well as for young colleagues with a degree in information technology or engineering.
- Training materials and the results of their exercises and discussions
- A participation certificate
Prerequisites: None
Number of participants: 6 to 12 people.
