Agile Software Development & CMMI®

Agile practices and CMMI® process areas are often perceived as contradicting each other. This forces organizations to choose between agility – which allows fast adaptation to a changing environment, and process standardization – which helps to coordinate large undertakings and organizational development. This training aims to show that an effective combination of these two approaches is possible.

During this two-day course participants will learn and practice agile techniques in the context of Extreme Programming and Scrum methodologies. The approaches presented relate to CMMI® process areas such as requirements development and management, project planning, monitoring & control, and others. Examples, exercises and case studies will help to illustrate how agile methodologies can support CMMI® implementations.
