Functional Safety – Safety Automotive (ISO/FDIS 26262)

This two-day introduction to functional safety (safety automotive) imparts a sound understanding of the EC 61508 and ISO/FDIS 26262 standards. You will thereby get to know better the ISO/FDIS 26262 standard requirements for safety-related control units in automotive. Using examples you will come to work out and learn their practical implementation in the project.

• Introduction to the structure of the standards IEC 61508 and ISO/FDIS 26262
• Considering in more detail the standards for safety automotive
• Management requirements (e.g. safety management, culture, role requirements, duties & responsibilities, safety plan)
• Phases of the safety life cycle
• Relationship to Automotive SPICE® and CMMI®
• Hazard and risk analysis, safety integrity classification SIL / ASIL
• Correct process design to meet the requirements of safety standards and reference models
• Improving the cooperation between OEMs and suppliers
• Preparing for a safety assessment
