The hardware engineering plug-in allows you to use Automotive SPICE® as a process framework for developing entire mechatronic systems to be used in cars. This plug-in provides you with specific development processes for the hardware.BACK TO AUTOMOTIVE SPICE
The plug-in concept of Automotive SPICE® allows to define specific development processes for different engineering tasks. With these specific processes the software-oriented Automotive SPICE® model can be augmented towards other domains. The intacs™ assessor association has worked out a plug-in proposal for hardware development which will be submitted to AK 13 of the VDA QMC for further assessment.

We are a founding member of intacs™ (the International Assessor Certification Scheme). The intacs™ initiative dovetails with Automotive SPICE® to safeguard common standards laid down by the German automotive industry for the training and certification of assessors.
Experts from the following companies were involved in the work of the intacs™ group: ART, Audi, Bosch, Brose, Continental Automotive, Dräxlmaier Group, Exida Group, Infineon, ITK Engineering, Kugler Maag Cie, Lorit Consultancy, Preh, Schaeffler Technologies, Sharpen360, SynSpace Group, Valeo Siemens eAutomotive Germany, WABCO, ZF Friedrichshafen.
Experts from Kugler Maag Cie were involved in the work of all groups. We also co-developed the PLUG-IN FOR MECHANICAL DEVELOPMENT. Further working groups are currently designing add-ons to go with Automotive SPICE® for security requirements and the use of agile methods.
