Kugler Maag Cie was placed in the top group in all three categories of the Germany’s Best Employer competition. The Great Place to Work Institute distinguished us for being among ‘Germany’s best employers’, one of the ‘best employers in consulting’ and one of ‘Baden-Wuerttemberg’s best employers’. The award was bestowed on Kugler Maag Cie after our consultants praised our particularly staff-friendly company culture in the anonymous survey. In fact, Kugler Maag Cie achieved above-average scores in all categories, with 81% of respondents feeling that they are encouraged to think carefully about their work-life balance – more than double the average score of our competitors.

Kugler Maag Cie was already named one of the top 20 Great Places to Work among comparable firms in the 2009 competition. But we have now even outdone our own superb achievement by featuring among the top companies in all three categories. We see this award as a motivation to keep up our strong commitment and grow with our customers.
The survey was based on a detailed questionnaire completed by employees at Kugler Maag Cie on key topics relating to their work at the company – such as confidence in senior management, the quality of working relationships, appreciation, identification with the company, career development opportunities, remuneration, healthcare promotion and work-life balance. Managers were also surveyed on staff support measures and HR services offered by the company. Two internationally tried-and-tested research instruments were used for the study: a staff survey and a cultural audit, weighted by a factor of 2 to 1. The main emphasis therefore lay in evaluations submitted directly by our employees.
The Great Place to Work® survey is part of an overarching competition open to companies of all sizes in all sectors of industry. Participation is voluntary and involves an audit of the quality and attractiveness of the workplace culture. This is carried out independently by the Great Place to Work Institute and combined with the evaluation submitted by employees. The ‘best employers’ are then selected from all participating companies.
