Software-driven systems now dominate the automotive industry – digital solutions enable functions that differentiate manufacturer brands. What the smartphone is all about faces the automotive industry with major challenges. This is because the complexity of integrating different engineering disciplines to create a seamless customer experience requires a pronounced systems competence: software, hardware and mechanics must be thought of as a unit together with the functions and back-end systems – across specialist and departmental boundaries. This requires a high level of systems competence.

With the German systems engineering association GfSE, we share the conviction that the product's future reliability, safety and functionality are already significantly determined in the design and development phase.

GfSE is the German Chapter of INCOSE.

Systems Engineering makes a significant contribution to this competence. As experts for integrated automotive development, we have therefore joined the German systems engineering association (GfSE). The GfSE sees itself as a body to emphasize the importance of systems engineering in complex development projects and as a community of practice to share experiences. This is in line with Kugler Maag Cie's conviction that excellence can only be achieved through integration and a cooperative exchange.
