Asseco Poland reached CMMI Capability Level 3
A success all along the line: Asseco is Poland's first software producer whose development processes have been successfully assessed as compliant with the reference model CMMI for Development at maturity level 3.
BackThe assessment of Asseco's management and support processes took place during a three-week period. It was carried out by experts of Kugler Maag Cie. The Krakow-based department of this consulting firm covers the CEE market since 2006. Kugler Maag Cie is a partner of the CMMI®-Institute affiliated with Carnegie Mellon University.
The evaluation followed the SCAMPI A methodology. "A detailed review of documentation was part of the assessment. The assignment also included interviews with both, project team members as well as representatives of the International Organizations and Uniformed Services Division", explained Dr. Udo Bock, process expert at Kugler Maag Cie.
Strenghten the competitive position through CMMI®
"Obtaining a formal confirmation of compliance of our processes with the prestigious CMMI®-DEV model at the maturity level 3 has been our goal since 2009. We needed to take considerable organizational efforts in order to meet the standard requirements. However, we faced this challenge because having a CMMI® appraisal will strengthen our competitive position and ability to participate in consortia on the international market," explained Jadwiga Nowotnik, Director of the International Organizations and Uniformed Services Division, Asseco Poland S.A.
