BACK TO FUNCTIONAL SAFETY
  • ISO 26262. 2nd Edition – The update

    Training objectives & content

Already using the ISO 26262 automotive safety standard for your projects? Or do you develop electronic systems with a bearing on safety? Come to one of our information sessions and hear first-hand which changes the latest version of ISO 26262 will lead to and which additional requirements will be introduced. This second edition of the standard came into effect in 2018.

The first difference that stands out when you compare the second edition of ISO 26262 to the current version is its wider scope. This update event looks at the consequences of the changes that have been introduced.

It is also an opportunity to examine why some current issues are not addressed by ISO 26262. This particularly affects how the standard interacts with AUTOMOTIVE SECURITY, plus threats posed by deliberate manipulation. To take this into account, organisations need to introduce formal communication arrangements regarding the overlaps between different disciplines and standards.
